Baked Jalapeño Poppers

These Baked Jalapeño Poppers are creamy, spicy, loaded with cheese, and baked to perfection! The perfect game day appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 12oz package of ¡Yo Quiero!™️ Traditional Queso
  • 10 Jalapeños
  • 8 oz Lean Ground Sirloin
  • 1/4 cup Yellow Onion , finely diced
  • 1 tbsp Lime Juice
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin , ground
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp White Pepper, ground
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 450˚ F.
  • Cut each jalapeño in half and remove seeds.
  • Place your cut jalapeños on a parchment-lined baking sheet and set aside.
  • Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, place your ground meat, lime juice, diced onion and seasoning. Use clean hands to combine the ingredients, taking care not to over-work the meat so that it doesn’t become tough. Spoon the filling into the jalapeños pressing into place so that each chile is liberally stuffed.
  • Bake your stuffed jalapeños for 12-15 minutes. Baking times will vary depending on how large your jalapeños are and how well you have stuffed them.
  • Remove baked jalapeños and top with ¡Yo Quiero!™️ Traditional Queso and serve immediately.
