Carne Asada Street Tacos

Carne Asada Street Tacos are fast, easy, and full of flavor. Serve them up with a side of Mexican rice and oven-roasted corn for the perfect summer meal.

Ingredients

MARINADE

  • 1/3 cup Avocado Oil or Olive Oil
  • 1/3 cup Lime Juice
  • 1/4 cup Orange Juice
  • 1/4 cup Distilled White Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbs Jalapeño, sliced
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika

TACOS

  • 1 8oz package of ¡Yo Quiero!™️ Original Guacamole (for serving)
  • 1 lb Flank or Skirt Steak
  • 8 White Corn Tortillas
  • 1 cup Onion, diced (for serving)
  • 4 oz Cotija Cheese (for serving)
  • Cilantro (for garnish)

Directions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together all of the ingredients for the marinade.

     

  • Place the steak in a large plastic zipper bag. Pour the marinade over the beef, seal the bag and shake to evenly distribute the marinade.

     

  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 8 hours.

     

  • Heat a grill or a large grill pan over high heat. Brush with oil to prevent sticking. Cook the steak for 5 to 8 minutes on each side and then transfer the steak to a cutting board and allow to rest for 5 minutes.

     

  • Warm corn tortillas in a dry pan over medium-high heat for 30 to 60 seconds each side, until softened slightly.

     

  • Thinly slice the steak and chop into small cubes for smaller bites.

     

  • Serve the steak on the warm tortillas with onion, guacamole, cotija cheese, cilantro or your choice of toppings.
